Expanding our team and underwriting capabilities
Oct. 2021
We are delighted to not only be expanding our team, but also diversifying our skillset and client offerings here at Bell & Clements. Alongside our brand-new website, we are pleased to appoint several internal staff members to new roles, whilst welcoming a new joiner to the Bell & Clements family during this transformative period.
These new internal appointments across the team have been designed to enhance our business strategy and expand the deployment of capacity across Excess and Surplus (E&S) and admitted US Business Lines. With this in mind, and in order to ensure clear dedicated management oversight for our Property and Transportation Direct Underwriting division, we have created the new position of Head of Direct Underwriting, which has been taken on by Mark Gadd. Reporting directly to Mark will be our new Head of Direct Property Daniel Gray. This new role will focus on the development of Bell & Clements deployment of capacity from Munich Re’s Great Lakes Insurance SE, its Lloyd’s property underwriting facilities and the management of the E&S property portfolio. Joining our executive board is Martin Lewis, Chief Risk, Compliance and Legal Officer, who will be supporting the growth of the business and overseeing the regulatory requirements that the Company needs to meet across its business lines.
Throughout our history, we have always had a strong focus on driving forward our relationships with technology enabled solutions, with innovation being one of our core values here at Bell & Clements. To this end, we are delighted to welcome a new face to the underwriting team in Hayley Todd. Joining as a Senior Underwriter, Hayley will be responsible for the review and delivery of innovative digital underwriting solutions, working closely with, and further enhancing the collaboration between, the MRSI Digital Underwriting team and Bell & Clements Underwriters and Analysts.
