An exciting opportunity for a Reporting Analyst to join an accredited Lloyd’s insurance broker specializing in broking and underwriting services for North American wholesale brokers and managing general agents.

The Role - Reporting Analyst

This role is based in our Data Analytics team within the Bell & Clements IT Department.  

The purpose of this position is to leverage our unique data warehouse and real-time data capture capabilities to deliver data and reporting analytics to both our internal Broking team as well as our clients in the Lloyd’s Market.  

As a Reporting Analyst, you must have a passion for data, accuracy, and efficiency and be comfortable handling large data sets using different tools. This role is integral to the IT team and is an opportunity for a Reporting Analyst to support the delivery of Lloyd’s regulatory reports and shape the automation of this process within Bell & Clements. 

This role will work closely with the Broking department and provide reporting support for data delivery to Underwriters and Clients. The delivery of data with assist with contractual requirements and help with monitoring the performance of our Lloyd’s business. 


  • Assist the Manager of Data Analytics with the delivery of existing Lloyd’s regulatory reporting and the transition to an automated process. 
  • Timely and accurate compilation and distribution of regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, optimising reports where possible.
  • Review and assess data quality to ensure that data is accurate, complete and current.
  • Knowledge share data quality findings 
  • Work with the Broking department to assist in the production of statistical and data analysis relating to the performance of the Lloyd’s Contracts, as and when required.
  • Support Operations teams on the Lloyd’s Delegated Authority Programme (DA Change)
  • Provide support for Data Governance projects where necessary.
  • Contribute to the Advanced Analytics workstream as required. 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in Reporting Analyst role (or similar) within London or Company Insurance Market (broking or syndicates).
  • Studying for or completion of CII certification advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a track record of working in a team.
  • Analytical mind with problem solving capabilities. 
  • Detail orientated.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Interpersonal, team building, written and verbal communication skills required. 


  • Exposure to SQL querying and data manipulation in Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Tableau or relevant Business Intelligence presentation layer tool experience (e.g. QlikView, Domo or Microsoft Power BI). 

Terms and Conditions

  • This position is offered on a 6 month fixed term contract
  • Salary will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate
  • Benefits as per Bell & Clements standard employee offering (upon successful completion of any probationary period)
