The Role: Business Change Manager

B&C offers industry leading technology solutions that benefit both customers and inhouse processes. B&C’s core IT infrastructure is on-premise and is tied to Microsoft’s core technologies. Being part of the Munich Re Group enables an inclusive culture that is progressive and ambitious with an established employee benefits program. B&C’s IT underpins the services that support both internal and external clients and has proven pivotal to the success of the organisation.  The growth of the IT estate and progressive plans for the future necessitates the addition of Business Change Manager to join our team in London.

Overview

B&C has embarked upon its biggest ever IT project to transition off of their on-premise IT estate to Cloud based technologies by moving to Munich Re’s One Cloud network, ultimately enabling the retirement of its on-premise infrastructure.  The project will include the transition management of process and practices for both IT usage and delivery that are integral to a transformation of this scale.  The ambition is to complete the transition in a 12-18 month period.

The transformation impact will not be limited to IT.  The internal business units will experience changes to their desktop devices and the way they connect and potentially in the applications they use.  This might lead to business process change but will certainly alter work practises and warrant training in the tools and applications they use.  It is reasonable to expect that third parties who engage directly with B&Cs technology platform could also be affected.

It is imperative that the impacts of these changes are fully understood and that the Change is managed to optimise the adoption of the technology transformation.

The role objective will be to support the overall IT transformation in a way that ensures a positive outcome for B&Cs employees, the business as a whole and for B&Cs external clients  and 3rd parties.
